Recommended Action:

a) Approve ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #25-514, Emergency Food Services:1st Cotton Commercial USA, Inc., of Katy, Texas; and

b) Approve start of negotiations; and

c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

No action needed. Disaster costs are accumulated in the hurricane fund and reimbursed by state and federal funding.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

This proposal is requesting the services from a qualified firm to provide water, drinks, food, on-site preparation, and supplies to the County prior to, during, and/or after an emergency situation occurs. Emergency situations would include, but are not limited to, hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, windstorm, and any act of God.

One (1) proposal were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Ellen Pinder, Emergency Management Coordinator - Public Safety, Mike Koenig, Resource Manager - Community Services, and Mary Shelley, Director - Human Resources. There were two (2) proposals that were deemed non-responsive. Copies of the proposal is attached along with the breakdown of ranking
