Resolution 2026-069 was adopted on April 28, 2026, when drought conditions warranted a countywide burn ban. Over the past few weeks, significant rainfall has mitigated drought conditions in the area, thus reducing the risk of dangerous wildfires. In addition, the long-range forecast indicates continual improvement to these conditions with predicted precipitation reaching levels that are above average. Based on the positive outlook, it is recommended that the burn ban be lifted which would rescind Resolution 2026-069.
