No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement Project “Additional Heavy, Small and Misc. Fleet Equipment (FY26/FY27)” as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is supplied from assessments in the Fire/Rescue Municipal Service Benefit Unit

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for two (2) Fire/EMS F550 Brush Trucks purchases will be piggybacking off the Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA25-VEF19.0, Fire & Rescue Vehicles, Boats and Equipment at $280,320 per unit, for the total cost of $560,640.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of two (2) F550 Fire/EMS Brush Trucks, per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract, and award to Matheny Fire & Emergency of Ocala, Florida.
