a) Approve the Settlement Agreement and Release in Notice of Claim of Ysiana Joseph, relating to the motor vehicle accident; and
b) Approve the Settlement Agreement and Release in Notice of Claim of Esteissie Charles, relating to the motor vehicle accident; and
c) Approve the Settlement Agreement and Release in Notice of Claim of Kettie Jerome, relating to the motor vehicle accident; and
d) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Settlement Agreement and Release.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This Agreement will serve as a full settlement and release, concluding the claims filed by Ms. Joseph, Ms. Charles, and Ms. Jerome against Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners regarding a motor vehicle accident that occurred on September 5, 2024, Tamiami Trail in North Port, Sarasota County, Florida. In the Claim, all parties are seeking compensatory damage for injuries sustained during the accident. By approving this settlement, the case will be resolved, and the County will avoid the uncertainty of a trial verdict.
