BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

On June 28, 2021, the Board adopted Resolution 2021-077 agreeing to participate in the Florida Unified Plan governing the allocation and use of Opioid settle proceeds.  Use of the monies is essentially limited to treatment and education of opioid/substance abuse. The board approved a workplan in June of 26.  This is the agreement for the regional funds use already approved by the board that will assist in funding Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office in operating their IRIS Program.
