Recommended Action:
a) Approve Change Order #8 in the amount of $3,555,028.16 for Request for Bid #25-185, 2025 Road and Bridge / MSBU Paving Program with an additional 175 days of contract time. This Change Order is to add Knights Drive and Gardens of Gulf Cove; and
b) Approve Resolution for budget adjustment BA26-252 in the amount of $198,000 increasing the MSBU Road Capital Maintenance Paving Program.

Budgeted Action:
Approve Budget adjustment BA26-252 in the amount of $198,000 to amend the MSBU Road Capital Maintenance Paving Program. Sufficient budget is available for Road and Bridge Capital Maintenance Paving Program. Funding is provided by Gardens of Gulf Cove Street and Drainage MSBU assessments ($3,196,946.96) and Capital Gas Tax in the Road Improvement Fund ($358,081.20).

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This project is for the resurfacing of Charlotte County roadways in the following districts: Road and Bridge, Englewood East, and Placida. This Change Order is to mill and resurface the Knights Drive for the amount of $358,081.20 on the Road & Bridge portion of the project and Gardens of Gulf Cove for the amount of $3,196,946.96 on the MSBU portion of the project. It includes the quote for Mobilization, MOT, Insurance. All other quantities are in the Contract and will be paid for at the Contract prices.
The original contract time was 258 calendar days for completion. There have been previous change orders adding 70 days. With the additional 175 days, the updated contract time is 503 days.
Therefore, it is recommended to approve Change Order #8 in the amount of $3,555,028.16 and an additional 175 calendar days for Request for Bid #25-185, 2025 Road and Bridge / MSBU...
