Recommended Action:

a) Approve ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #25-431, Water Quality Monitoring Program - Lakeview/Midway and Cape Haze: 1st Kimley-Horn and Associates of Fort Myers, Florida; 2nd Johnson Engineering, LLC of Fort Myers, Florida; Pale Blue Dot Consulting, LLC of Saint Petersburg, Florida; and

b) Approve start of negotiations; and

c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Fund - Administration budget as approved in the FY2025 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

Charlotte County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide oversight and guidance for a Water Quality Monitoring Program as part of the Lakeview/Midway and Cape Haze Water Quality Septic to Sewer Projects.

 

A Request for Proposal was issued and generated four (4) responses. Those responses were evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Sarah Hiscock, Water Quality Environmental Specialist, Utilities; Brandon Moody, Water Quality and Resiliency Manager, Administration; Jason Thomas, Stormwater Engineer, Public Works. Copies of the top three (3) proposals are attached, along with a breakdown of the rankings.
