Recommended Action:

a) Approve ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #25-389, Comprehensive Self-Insurance Program - Third Party Administration Services: 1st Commercial Risk Management, Inc.; 2nd Preferred Government Claim Solutions, Inc.; and 3rd Tristar Claims Management Services, Inc.; and

b) Approve start of negotiations; and

c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

This is for a firm to provide a Comprehensive Self-Insurance - Third Party Administration Program.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

Charlotte County requested proposals for a self-insurance third party administration program to administer and adjust claims for the County including all the lines of coverage required by Florida Statutes and all other sections as may be applicable or amended during the period of coverage.

 

Four proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Kathryn Peto, Claims and Liability Coordinator - Risk Management Division; Aaron Olson, IT Business Analyst - Information Technology Division; and Michele Winsor, Human Resources Coordinator. A copy of the top three proposals are attached along with a breakdown of the ranking.
