BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)
body
Background:
Charlotte County is coordinating with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for repairs to off-state highway lighting associated with the project. The project was originally programmed under Phase 68 and was subsequently changed to Phase 62 to allow the County to utilize its existing Continuing Services Contract for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services. As part of the project, FDOT requires Charlotte County to enter into a Local Funding Agreement (LFA). Under the LFA, Charlotte County is responsible for a lump-sum contribution of $94,471.00 toward the project. Board approval of the LFA is required to allow the project to proceed and for the County's required contribution to be provided to FDOT in accordance with the agreement.
