Recommended Action:
Set a public hearing to be held on March 10, 2026, at 10 a.m., or soon thereafter as may be heard, in Room 119 at 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte, Florida, to consider amending the ordinance to remove the requirement that the board appoints a member of the board to be a liaison to the committee.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The revisions to Section 3-5-381: Environmentally Sensitive Lands Oversight Committee remove the requirement that the board appoints a member of the board to be a liaison to the committee. This will align the ordinance to be consistent with other county of advisory boards with regards to board liaisons.
