Recommended Action:

a) Approve ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #25-383, Design - Bridge Scour Study and Countermeasures: 1st DRMP, Inc., of Orlando, Florida, 2nd Arcos Bridge, Inc, of Tampa, Florida, 3rd Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, of Montgomery, Alabama; and

b) Approve start of negotiations; and

c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

Budgeted Action:

No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Works Bridge Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY25 budget process. Funding is supplied from Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

This proposal is requesting the services of an engineering firm with experience in scour analysis and design of scour countermeasures to provide engineering services for recommendation and design countermeasures needed for the Tom Adams Beach Road Bridge over Lemon Bay (#010029), the Midway Boulevard Bridge over North Spring Lake (#014073), and the CR775 Bridge over Ainger Creek (#010062).

 

Four (4) proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Kelly Slaughter, Project Manager - Public Works, Jody Pressley, Project Manager - Utilities, and Trevor Cole, Project Manager - Facilities. Copies of the proposals are attached along with the breakdown of ranking.
