REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION

 

recommendation

Recommended Action:

a) Approve the Ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #25-188, Inspection and Condition Assessment for Wastewater System Pipelines, Manholes and Force Mains: 1st Mead & Hunt of Fort Myers, Florida; 2nd HDR Engineering, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida; and 3rd Rhino Engineering Solutions, LLC of Laguna Beach, California; and

b) Approve start of negotiations; and

c) Authorize the chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

This is for professional services required to provide a Wastewater System Pipeline, Manhole and Force Main, Inspection and Condition Assessment in accordance with the County’s Capacity, Management, Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) Program.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Fund - Administrative budget as approved in the FY2025 budget process. Funding from this expenditure comes from rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

This is for professional services required to provide a Wastewater System Pipeline, Manhole and Force Main, Inspection and Condition Assessment in accordance with the County’s Capacity, Management, Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) Program.

Three proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Ken Stecher, Operations Manager - Utilities; Pedro Agosto, Project Manager - Facilities; and Raymond Slade, Project Manager - Public Works. A copy of the top three proposals are attached, along with a breakdown of the ranking.
