Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Piggyback File #26-151, for the purchase of three (3) Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA25-VEH23.0: Heavy Trucks and Buses, and award to The Peterbilt Store South Florida, LLC of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $219,036 per unit; and
b) Approve Asset #35425, 35427, and 35430 to be sold via auction.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Heavy Equipment Replacement Plan as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is provided from the Vehicle Replacement fund and will be charged back to Public Works, Maintenance and Operations division.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of three (3) Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks to replace Asset #35425, 35427, and 35430, which will be utilized by Public Works Maintenance & Operations. The 2027 Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks will include a 52,000 lbs GVWR truck 4x6 cab and chassis with an Allison 4500 RDS-P Automatic Transmission, 46k Rears, Shock Absorbers, Air Flo 14’ Dump Bed with Brake Controller, and a 5-year Parts and Labor Warranty. The prices, terms, and specifications are from the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA25-VEH23.0: Heavy Trucks and Buses contract.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of three (3) Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks to the Peterbilt Store of South Florida, LLC of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $219,036 per unit; and approve Asset #35425, 35427, and 35430 to be sold via auction.
