Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #26-369, Tom Adams Bridge Structural Repairs to Titan Construction Management LLC of Tarpon Springs, Florida for the total amount of $2,423,899.80. This is for the Tom Adams Bridge Rehabilitation; and
b) Approve Resolution for budget adjustment BA26-246 in the amount of $860,324 increasing the Public Works Bridge Capital Maintenance Plan.

Approve budget adjustment BA26-246 in the amount of $860,324 to amend the Public Works Bridge Capital Maintenance Plan. Funding is supplied by Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a Contractor to furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and all other appurtenances required to successfully complete the Tom Adams Bridge structural repairs. The project includes various minor bridge repairs. The work also includes all other items of construction including, but not limited to, removal and disposal of existing structures, site dewatering, excavation and fill, grading, sodding, and maintenance of traffic. The work specified herein shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and operations necessary to complete the work as indicated in the plans and specifications. All work included in the Bid shall be completed within the contract time from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The construction shall include, but not be limited to, establishment and removal of Maintenance of Traffic measures, the provision of approved signs and markings.
Five (5) responses were received and reviewed by the Public Works Department.
