Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Piggyback File #26-012, Verizon Mobile Communication Services, at the unit prices associated with State Contract: DMS-19/20-006C, which was awarded to Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless of Tallahassee, Florida for the initial term through and including August 24, 2026; and
b) Authorize the County Administrator, or his designee, to approve renewal options for up to five (5) additional one (1) year periods at the same terms and conditions.

No action needed. Funds are in the General Fund IT Maintenance budget as adopted during the FY26 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Information Technology has requested the mobile communication services for all County-owned devices. This contract is a comprehensive contract for the mobile communication services offering competitive pricing, volume discounts, and sales promotions. This contract has an initial term through and including August 24, 2026. The unit pricing, terms, and conditions will be piggybacked via the State of Florida Contract: DMS-19/20-006C, Mobile Communication Services.
Therefore, it is in the best interest of the County to a) Approve award of Piggyback File #26-012, Verizon Mobile Communication Services, at the unit prices associated with State Contract: DMS-19/20-006C, which was awarded to Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless of Tallahassee, Florida for the initial term through and including August 24, 2026; and b) Authorize the County Administrator, or his designee, to approve renewal options for up to five (5) additional one (1) year periods at the same terms and conditions.
