BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Section 951.26, F.S., requires each Board of County Commissioners to establish a County Public Safety Coordinating Council; and section 394.657, F.S., requires each Board of County Commissioners to designate the County Public Safety Coordinating Council established under section 951.26, F.S., or designate another criminal or juvenile justice mental health and substance abuse council or committee, as the planning council or committee for purposes of that section.
