Recommended Action:
a) Approve Resolution ratifying and adopting the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Suncoast Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Local 2546 and Charlotte County for single certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); and
b) Authorize the Chairman, or his designee, to sign the Resolution.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
IAFF requested to bargain, and the county agreed to bargaining to address the classification on a single certified EMT. This MOU memorializes the agreed upon terms and conditions of employment until such time as a successor Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) may be negotiated and ratified. The IAFF has ratified this MOU.
