Recommended Action:

a) Approve Amendment 1 to Contract #25-479, Design - Restroom Buildings, with PBK Architects Florida, Inc of Fort Myers, Florida, for prototype restroom building site adaption for six (6) park locations for cost of $540,518; and

b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment 1.

Budgeted Action:

No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement Projects “Lake Betty Park”, “Park Restrooms - Billy Coy Preserve”, “Park Restrooms - Randy Spence & Midway Parks”, and “Park Restrooms - Harold Ave & South County Regional Parks” as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is provided by Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

On September 9, 2025, the BCC approved the ranking and start of negotiations for the Design - Restroom Buildings with PBK Architects Florida, Inc. to provide design services of two (2) prototype restroom buildings. These prototypes are to be used in the design of current and future funded restroom park locations.

 

Amendment 1 is to incorporate prototypes for six (6) currently funded restroom park locations that include construction-ready documents, including, but not limited to, civil and site requirements, utility needs, and landscaping.
