Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of “Piggyback” to File #25-541, Dozer Replacement to Dobbs Equipment, LLC of Lutz, Florida, to purchase one (1) John Deere 850P LGP for the total cost of $541,114 in accordance with Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA23-EQU21.0; and
b) Approve Asset #38026 to be sold via auction.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Heavy Equipment Replacement Plan as approved in the FY25 budget process. Funding is supplied by the Solid waste Enterprise Fund, landfill fees.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of one (1) John Deere 850P LGP to replace Asset #38026, which will be utilized by Public Works Solid Waste. The total cost includes a 5-year parts and labor warranty. The prices, terms, conditions, and specifications are from the statewide Florida Sheriff's Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract# FSA23-EQU21.0.
Therefore it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of one (1) John Deere 850P LGP for the total cost of $541,114 in accordance with Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA23-EQU21.0 and Asset #38026 to be sold via auction.
