Recommended Action:
Approve Amendment 4 to Contract #22-200, Construction Manager at Risk - Capital Maintenance Repair -Annual, with Florida Premier Contractors, LLC (FPC) of Punta Gorda, Florida, for the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in the amount of $8,973,865 for Fiscal Year 2026 project list; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment 4 to Contract 22-200, Construction Manager at Risk - Capital Maintenance Repair - Annual

No action needed. Budgeted in the Facilities Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is supplied from Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On March 2, 2022 the Board of County Commissioners approved the ranking and negotiations for the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) - Capital Maintenance Repair - Annual, with FPC to provide professional CMAR services for correcting deferred maintenance items, as well as ongoing renovations and repairs within the Facilities Capital Maintenance Plan (CAP) at multiple Charlotte County locations. Work assignments originating from annually approved CAP will address categories such as architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and site/civil items.
Amendments establish the scope and approval of the GMP which means the maximum compensation to be paid by the County to the CM in alignment with each respective fiscal year’s budget.
Amendment 4 is for Fiscal Year 2026
