Approve Sole Source purchase of File #26-569 MTS Phase 2 Upgrade to Charlotte County Jail to Montgomery Technology Systems, LLC of Greenville, Alabama for a total amount of $502,400. This purchase is for additional equipment to be used with existing for Phase 2 upgrades to the Charlotte County Jail.

No action needed. A budget adjustment will be brought forward in the fourth quarter. Funding for this expenditure comes from ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Facilities is requesting the purchase of additional equipment to be used with existing for Phase 2 upgrades to the Charlotte County Jail. The additional equipment consists of control system I/O upgrade, lighting system I/O upgrade and video surveillance head end upgrade.
Therefore, request award of Sole Source purchase of File #26-569 MTS Phase 2 Upgrade to Charlotte County Jail as awarded to Montgomery Technology Systems, LLC of Greenville, Alabama for a total cost of $502,400.
