BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

Chapter 125.379 of the Florida Statutes requires that every three (3) years the County hold a public hearing and adopt a Resolution to reserve county-owned real property that may be appropriate for use as affordable housing. This was last accomplished in 2023.

The Board of County Commissioners shall review the attached inventory list of properties at the public hearing. The Board of County Commissioners is being asked to adopt a Resolution that approves the list of parcels to be used for affordable housing following the public hearing and make the inventory list publicly available on its website to encourage potential development.
