No action needed. Budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Fund - Operations budget as approved in the FY2026 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from rate revenues. The annual maintenance and operating cost associated with the soil sifter is estimated at $6,159.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this Request for Bid was for the purchase of a Large Soil Sifter to be utilized by Utilities. The Kompatto 5030 was determined to meet our needs, and this unit was proposed by National Equipment Dealers, LLC. This is an additional piece of equipment used to remove debris from excavated material, allowing the material to be processed and reused rather than hauled off and disposed of.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award National Equipment Dealers, LLC of North Fort Myers, Florida for a total price of $250,000.
