Approve award of Request for Bid #25-307, Walking Path at Carmalita and South Gulf Cove Parks to Pavement Maintenance LLC of Fort Myers, Florida for the total amount of $360,420.38. This is to secure the services of a Contractor to construct walking paths at Carmalita Park and South Gulf Cove Park

No action needed. Budgeted in the Community Services Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY25 budget process. Funding is supplied from Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This project consists of walking path installation construction at Carmalita and South Gulf Cove parks. The project includes walking paths and drainage improvements as indicated on the construction plans. The work also includes all other items of construction including, but not limited to, removal and disposal of sod, excavation and fill, grading, sodding, and maintenance of traffic. The work specified herein shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and operations necessary to complete the work as indicated in the plans and specifications enclosed herein. All work included in the Bid shall be completed within the contract time from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
Therefore it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award Request for Bid #25-307, Walking Path at Carmalita and South Gulf Cove Parks to Pavement Maintenance LLC of Fort Myers, Florida for the total amount of $360,420.38.
Completion Time is 180 calendar days with a liquidated damages rate of $1,170 per calendar day. .
