a) Approve Resolution authorizing the County Attorney, or designee, to initiate litigation, in the name of the County, to enforce animal control statutes, ordinances and regulations against violators; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Resolution.

Background:
State statutes and County ordinances and regulations have been adopted to protect public health, safety, and welfare. The County has a compelling interest in ensuring compliance with animal control laws. Litigation is often necessary to enforce compliance when voluntary measures and administrative remedies are insufficient.
