Recommended Action:
a) Approve Amendment 2 to Contract #22-298, Sidewalk and Decorative Lighting - North Beach Road, with Johnson Engineering, Inc. of Port Charlotte, Florida for additional survey work in the amount of $61,530; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment #2 to Contract #22-298.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement Project “Manasota Key Community Plan” as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is provided by Manasota Key Street and Drainage MSTU, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On June 28, 2022, the Board approved the ranking of and approved the start of negotiations for Request for Proposals #22-298, Sidewalk and Decorative Lighting - North Beach Road. Negotiations were completed, and a contract was signed on April 12, 2023.
On September 10, 2024, Amendment 1, was approved by the BCC for a Drainage Feasibility Study in the amount of $68,300.
This change has been requested by the Manasota Key Street and Drainage MSTU Advisory Board to add drainage design to the sidewalk and lighting design. Attached is the scope and fee for the changes necessary to amend the contract.
