Based on Florida Statute 252.38, Charlotte County Emergency Management is required to review Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans for adult congregate living facilities, nursing homes, medically acute group homes, intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled, ambulatory surgical centers, and hospitals. Florida Legislature has amended Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, and the State of Florida has promulgated amended rules relating to the County’s required regulations for statutorily identified facilities and homes. The Code must be amended to reflect current state law, and to remove or amend outdated or inconsistent provisions which were previously addressed in the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners’ Ordinance No. 2015-08.
