Adjustment to Water Supply Demand Projections for Peace River

REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION
recommendation
Recommended Action:
a) Approve the adjustment to the 2026-27 Water Supply Demand Projections provided to the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority on January 13, 2026, to indicate .25 MDG is available for transfer to the distribution pool; and
b) Authorize the County Administrator, or his designee, to send the attached letter to the Authority to inform them of the change.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
At the April 14, 2026 Utilities Quarterly Update, The Board of County Commissioners discussed and gave direction for this adjustment. This item confirms this direction and confirms the adjustment. The adjustment will allow 0.25 MGD of the allocation made available to Charlotte County, under the Master Water Supply Contract, to be made available for use by the distribution pool for the years 2026 and 2027, pursuant to Section 7.5, “Authority Water Transfers” of the Contract.
