REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION

Recommended Action:

a) Approve the award of Request for Proposal #25-503, Transit Marketing Services – Annual Contract to Global-5 of Longwood, Florida at the unit price bid for a not-to-exceed cost of $100,000. Term of contract is from date of award through and including September 30, 2026; and

b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contracts; and

c) Authorize the County Administrator to approve the renewal options for up to two additional one-year terms, at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent. This contract is for Transit marketing services.

Budgeted Action:

No action needed. An adjustment will be brought to the board for approval amending the FY25 budget. Expenses will be reimbursed by the Federal Transit Administration. Transportation Development Credits will be used as a “soft match” for the local share, which allows the federal share to be reimbursed up to 100% as authorized by Chapter 53 of the Title 49 U.S.C.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

A Request for Proposals was solicited for professional marketing services and strategic planning for the targeted promotion of the County’s public transportation system. This annual contract would include services such as targeted marketing to current riders, attracting new riders and promoting specific initiatives, as well as increasing awareness of the benefits of using public transportation.

 

Five proposals were received and evaluated by Shirley Ciampi, Mobility Manager – Transit; Maureen Morgenthien, Marketing Manager – Tourism; and Maria Vastola, Marketing Manager – Economic Development. Copies of the top three (3) ranked proposals are attached.
