BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

Charlotte County is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services for Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR). Conducting a THIRA will allow the County to identify gaps and areas where additional planning will be needed. The THIRA also serves as an important part of building a culture of preparedness in the County.

Six (6) proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Brandon Watkins, Emergency Management Specialist - Public Safety, Ken Stecher, Operations Manager-Utilities, and Anthony Pribble, Security Manager - Facilities Management. Copies of the top ranked proposals are attached, along with the breakdown of the ranking.
