Recommended Action:
a) Approve Change Order 1 to rescind prior authorization to sell property at Auction, for File #26-172, Purchase of Two (2) E-One Cyclone Fire Rescue Pumpers; and
b) Authorize approval the increase to the County Fleet to maintain two additional E-One Cyclone Fire Rescue Pumpers.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This was a piggyback purchase from the Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA25-VEF19.0, to the awarded contractor Matheny Fire & Emergency, for the purchase of two (2) E-One Cyclone Fire Rescue Pumpers and authorization property # 30579 and 31199 to be sold at auction, which was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on January 13, 2026.
Public Safety has requested to rescind the prior authorization to sell properties at auction. They want to retain the rescue pumpers as an extension of fleet; one (1) would be reserved for the fire tower/training facility, and one (1) specifically kept to expand their reserve fleet.
The two (2) new E-One Cyclone Fire Rescue Pumpers ordered, from January 13, 2026, have an estimated delivery date of Spring 2028.
