Budgeted Action:
No action needed. A fourth quarter budget adjustment will be brought to the Board if the change order is accepted. Funding for this Hurricane Ian repair is being collected in the hurricane fund. There is an anticipated reimbursement of 75% (Federal Emergency Management Agency) with a state reimbursement of 12.5% and a required local match of 12.5%.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this Bid is to secure the services of a licensed Contractor to provide services to design, remove existing, and install new tower support structure for operational SCADA equipment at various lands owned or maintained by the County, due to Hurricane Ian. The scope of work consists of the following items for 28 lift stations throughout the County: 1) Design of the self-supporting antenna tower and mast for existing SCADA antenna; 2) Procure all resources necessary to design and install self-supporting antenna tower with mast; 3) Install self-supporting antenna tower with mast and concrete base for each location; 4) Remove component(s) attached to existing antenna tower and reattach to new antenna tower Radio Transmission Unit, light, water meter repeater, and any other tower attachments; and 5) Demolition, removal, and disposal of existing towers, antennas, and concrete.
