a) Approve the Interlocal Agreement between Charlotte County on behalf of the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership (CHNEP) and Manatee County for Services Supporting CHNEP’s Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Interlocal Agreement.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Charlotte County serves as the fiscal and legal host of the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership (CHNEP) to provide an array of operational support services, including entering into agreements on its behalf in support of the implementation of the CHNEP’s Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan. This Interlocal Agreement between Charlotte County on behalf of the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership is in relation to Manatee County providing services in supporting of CHNEP’s Comprehensive Conservation And Management Plan to improve water quality, restore hydrology, protect fish, wildlife, and their habitat as well as further public engagement in the CHNEP service area.
