BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

Englewood Area Fire District Control is seeking to replace its 14-year-old fire boat, which has recently been discovered to be in a serious state of disrepair. The proposed boat replacement will restore confidence in uninterrupted marine emergency response, enhance safety for first responders, and provide the community with a reliable and modern platform for fire suppression, rescue, and medical transport. The new boat will strengthen regional maritime safety, support mutual aid with surrounding jurisdictions, and safeguard residents, visitors, and natural resources along Englewood’s coastlines and inland waterways for years to come.
