Recommended Action:
a) Approve contract for Request for Proposal #26-129, Design - Zemel Road Landfill Operations Building, to Alliance Design Group Architecture, LLC, of Fort Myers, Florida, for a total not-to-exceed project cost of $588,801; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign contract.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement project “SW Landfill Operations Building Zemel” as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is supplied by the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund, landfill fees.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is for the professional planning and design services of Solid Waste Landfill Operations and Maintenance building, located at 29751 Zemel Road, Punta Gorda, Florida.
On February 10, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners approved the ranking of firms and the approval to start negotiations, but requested the contract be brought back to the Board for official review and approval if it exceeded the budget amount of $500,000.
