Recommended Action:
a) Approve Proposal #27754 under Contract #26-234, Access Control Panel System Contractor - Annual Contract to Miller Electric Company of Tampa, Florida per the unit cost labor rate bid and material markup for an estimated total amount of $513,179.32 for the Charlotte County Justice Center located at 350 E. Marion, Punta Gorda, FL. This is to integrate the existing access control and CCTV system at the Charlotte County Justice Center with the current Charlotte County Genetec Security System; and
b) Approve Resolution for budget adjustment #26-235 in the amount of $94,807.

Approve Budget/Admin Adjustment #26-235 in the amount of $94,807 to the Fine and Forfeiture Fund - Court Administration budget. Funding for this expenditure comes from Ad Valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On February 25, 2026, the Board approved Bid #26-234, Access Control Panel System Contractor - Annual Contract. The purpose of this bid is to secure the services of a licensed Access Control Panel System Contractor to provide for repair, maintenance, upgrading, and installation of the County's existing Genetec Access Control Panel System in accordance with industry standards, recommended installation procedures, best practices, as well as Federal, State and Local rules, regulations, codes, and guidelines on an "as required" basis.
The submitting firms were asked to provide a unit cost labor rate for any work being performed; and response time for emergency and non-emergency service calls.
