Budgeted Action:

No action needed. Budgeted in the “Ackerman Septic to Sewer and Water Expansion” project as part of the Charlotte Harbor Water Quality Initiative as adopted in the FY25 budget process. Funding will be supplied from the Ackerman MSBU Fund through Ackerman Sewer MSBU Assessments.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of air vacuum equipment and materials for the Ackerman Water Quality Improvements - Zones 3, 4, and LPS.  Aqseptence Group is the sole supplier of the AirVac equipment that is being installed on the Ackerman Water Quality project.  The material and equipment being supplied is in accordance with the technical specifications prepared by Giffels-Webster Engineers, Incorporated, who worked as consultants to Utilities on the water quality improvements design.

 

After review and evaluation of the proposal received from Aqseptence Group dated October 24, 2024, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the Ackerman air vacuum equipment and materials to Aqseptence Group, of Rochester, Indiana, in the amount of 1,855,413
