a) Approve Resolution to rescind Resolution 2016-071, which established passenger fares for Charlotte County Transit; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to execute the Resolution.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
In 2016, Resolution 2016-071 established passenger fares of $2.00 per trip and $1.00 for passengers eligible under the Transportation Disadvantaged Program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, passenger fares were suspended under emergency authority; however, the Board of County Commissioners did not formally adopt a resolution to eliminate fares.
Approval of this Resolution will rescind Resolution 2016-071 and establish fare-free service for Charlotte County Transit.
