Recommended Action:
a) Approve the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office request to transfer $984,500 in order to complete rebuilding the Huey aircraft; and
b) Approve Resolution and Budget Amendment BA26-214 in the amount of $984,500.

Budgeted Action:
Approve Budget Adjustment BA26-214 in the amount of $984,500 to the Public Safety Fund -Sheriff budget. Funding for this expenditure comes from ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The Sheriff had to suspend the Huey helicopter rebuild during mosquito spraying season. The unused funds allocated for the project were returned to the County as excess fees. The Sheriff now requests that those funds be reallocated to complete the rebuild.
