a) Approve the Settlement Agreement and Release in Colton Edward Blubaugh v Charlotte County, Florida, Case No. 25000688CA in the 20th Judicial Circuit in and for Charlotte County, Florida, relating to a motor vehicle accident; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Settlement Agreement and Release.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This Agreement will serve as a full settlement and release, concluding litigation filed by Mr. Blubaugh against Charlotte County regarding a motor vehicle accident that occurred on October 21, 2024, at the intersection of El Jobean and Flamingo Rd. In the Complaint, Mr. Blubaugh is seeking compensatory damage for injuries sustained during the accident. By approving this settlement, the case will be resolved and the County will avoid the uncertainty of a trial verdict.
