Recommended Action:
a) Approve the Settlement Agreement and Release in Doreen Wilsey v Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners, Sarasota County Case No. 25-1395CA in the 20th Judicial Circuit in and for Charlotte County, Florida, relating to a motor vehicle accident; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Settlement Agreement and Release.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This Agreement will serve as a full settlement and release, concluding Sarasota County litigation filed by Ms. Wilsey against Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners regarding a motor vehicle accident that occurred on September 5, 2024, around 4:46pm. Ms. Wilsey was the first out of three vehicles to be rear ended by a Charlotte County vehicle on Tamiami Trail and Bolander Ter, in North Port, Sarasota County, thus starting a domino effect. This incident caused injuries to Doreen Wilsey. The settlement will resolve the alleged claims.
