REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION

Recommended Action:
a) Approve Request for Bid #26-486, Repair/Replace Concrete Flat Work – Annual Contract, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Sinclair Structural Corporation of Port Charlotte, Florida, for the period of October 1, 2026 through and including September 30, 2027, at the unit prices indicated on the tabulations, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent; and
b) Authorize the County Administrator to approve renewal options for up to two (2) additional one-year terms at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Works Maintenance and Operation budget as approved in the FY2027 budget process and various MSBU and MSTU work programs in road and bridge materials. Funding for the expenditure comes from Gas Tax.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is an annual for Charlotte County to secure the services of a licensed Contractor to repair and/or replace existing concrete curb, sidewalks, driveways, slope pads, and concrete pads along selected roads or County property, within Charlotte County on an “as required basis”.
Therefore, it is in the County’s best interest to a) approve Request for Bid #26-486, Repair/Replace Concrete Flat Work – Annual Contract, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Sinclair Structural Corporation of Port Charlotte, Florida, for the period of October 1, 2026 through and including September 30, 2027, at the unit prices indicated on the tabulations, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent and b) auth...
