Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #26-504, Ready Mix Concrete Supply & Delivery-Annual Contract, to Quality-Crete, of Englewood, Florida, at the unit prices submitted; and
b) Authorize the County Administrator to approve renewal options for up to two (2) additional one-year terms, at the same prices, terms and conditions, by mutual consent.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Works Maintenance and Operation budget as approved in the FY2026 budget process. Funding for the expenditure comes from Gas Tax.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is an annual contract to supply and delivery ready mix concrete on an “as required” basis for the Public Works Department. The ready mix concrete contract was bid out utilizing various components; varying psi, fibermesh added, and/or 1% or 2% calcium additive, for quantities of two (2) cubic yards or more to be delivered, plus pricing for quantities of less than two (2) cubic yards.
Therefore, it has been determined that it would be in the best interest of the County to award Request for Bid #26-504, Ready Mix Concrete Supply and Delivery-Annual Contract, to Quality-Crete, of Englewood, Florida, at the unit prices bid for the contract period from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms.at the same prices, terms and conditions, by mutual consent.
