BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

In accordance with 2005 Master Water Supply Contract section 11, each Water Authority customer must submit its 20-year water demand projections along with available water quantities for transfer to the distribution pool (accordance with section 10.5 “Authority Water Transfers”) to the Water Authority by January 15th of each contract year.

The attached table show Utilities projected Annual Average Day Demand, Peak Month Average Day Demand and Maximum Day Demand for the next 20 years based upon the current growth projections. The same attached table will also show the available water quantities for transfer to the distribution pool.

The Basis of Demand Assumptions for water to be supplied by the Water Authority is calculated on the Average Annual Daily Flow (AADF) and assumes 184 gallons per day (gpd) per equivalent residential connection (ERC), which equates to 83.64 gpd of water per capita at 2.2 persons per ERC. The Master Supply Contract with PRMRWSA provides a Level of Service of 1.4 x AADF which is 258 gpd/ERC to meet maximum day demands, and 1.2 x AADF which is 221 gpd/ERC to meet peak month demands. The Master Supply Contract and its amendments are attached for your reference.
