This project is to perform replacement work to successfully restore the functionality and structural integrity of the wastewater collection systems located at 630 Woodbury Drive, Port Charlotte, FL 33954 and the Intersection of Murdock Circle and Education Way, Port Charlotte, FL 33948

No Action Needed. Budgeted in the Utility Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY26 budget. Funding is provided from Utility Renewal & Replacement Fund.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this contract is to secure the services of a Contractor to perform replacement work to successfully restore the functionality and structural integrity of the wastewater collection systems located at 630 Woodbury Drive, Port Charlotte, FL 33954 and the Intersection of Murdock Circle and Education Way, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the county to award Request for Bid #26-016, Manhole and Sewer Pipe Replacement to Andrew Sitework of Fort Myers, Florida for the total amount of $382,706.10.
The completion time is 120 calendar days with liquidated damage rate of $1,170 per calendar day.
