No action needed. Budgeted in the Information Technology Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is supplied from the IT Equipment Replacement Fund via a transfer from Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Information Technology is requesting the purchase of a 3-year Network Refresh. The purpose of the network refresh project is to improve performance, security, and scalability to handle increasing demands from more devices and newer technologies. Key reasons include boosting speed and reliability, protecting against modern cyber threats with updated security protocols, and preparing the infrastructure to support future growth and new applications. This is a piggyback purchase off the Sourcewell Contract #121923-CDWG, awarded to CDW LLC dba CDW Government (CDW-G).
Therefore, it is in the best interest of the County to approve award of Piggyback File #26-121, Network Refresh, per Sourcewell Contract #121923-CDWG, awarded to CDW LLC dba CDW Government (CDW-G) located in Chicago, Illinois for a total of $1,537,550.14.
