BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Charlotte County Parks and Natural Resources department were contacted by the UCF Department of Civil, Environmental & Construction Engineering Department regarding a research project. The project consists of temporarily installing a remote distributed Acoustic Sensing Device (ASD) on Englewood Beach prior to the 2026 beach/dune renourishment. The ASD will monitor the newly installed dunes on Englewood Beach and provide real-time environmental conditions and pressure.
