Recommended Action:
a) Ratify the Termination Agreement, and any related documents necessary to effectuate termination of the Local Agency Program Agreement; and
b) Authorize the Chairman, to sign the termination Resolution for 453062-2-58-01 Gillot Blvd repairs N of Blitman St.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On December 16, 2024, Charlotte County and the Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) entered into Local Agency Program Agreement Contract No. G3722, FM# 453062-2-58-01, for construction related to repairs on Gillot Blvd N of Blitman St. During the contract award process, it was determined that Charlotte County was no longer eligible to receive FHWA funding because the contract award procedure did not fully align with FHWA requirements. FDOT and the County have subsequently agreed to terminate the Agreement pursuant to Section 9.0 of the Local Agency Program Agreement.
