Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Sole Source File #26-667, Turbine Pump Replacements to Barney’s Pumps, Inc. of Lakeland, Florida for a total of $1,337,700. This is to replace six (6) existing pumps; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the agreement.

No Action Needed. Budgeted in the Utility Capital Maintenance Program as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is supplied through the Utility Renewal & Replacement fund.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this contract is to secure the parts and services necessary to replace six (6) existing vertical pumps. To maintain current warranty of the system, we must utilize the parts and services of Barney’s Pumps, Inc. as they are the sole authorized distributor of Pentair products in the State of Florida. East Port Plant requires three (3) four-stage vertical pumps, model 12RH, totaling $366,900 and three (3) one-stage vertical turbine pumps, model 28SKKL, totaling $970,800.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award Sole Source File #26-667, Turbine Pump Replacements to Barney’s Pumps, Inc. of Lakeland, Florida for a total of $1,337,700.
