BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

Each year, property taxes are collected by WCIND to fund Charlotte County boater-related projects and activities. Charlotte County and Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission collect fees on boat registration for County-use on boater-related activity. Annually, the MAC calls for applications for project proposals from organizations with interests in using the funds in Charlotte County. Eighteen (18) eligible applications were reviewed by the MAC on March 13, 2025, with consideration to their legal and practical appropriateness. Recommendations were made and are presented in Exhibit A, along with preliminary budget placement by funding source. The applications are presented in Exhibit B.
